CubicYardage.com is a free set of concrete and bulk-material calculators built around how the trade actually thinks: in cubic yards. Whether you're pouring a patio, setting fence posts, sizing footings, or ordering a load of gravel, the goal is the same — give you the right number quickly, with the working shown, so you can order with confidence and avoid the two expensive mistakes: running short mid-pour, or paying for concrete you don't need.

What makes these calculators different

Most online estimators stop at a single number. Ours are built to be useful end to end. Every calculator shows cubic yards, cubic feet, bag counts (40/50/60/80 lb), ready-mix truck loads and estimated weight together, adds a waste margin you control, and produces a downloadable PDF with the worked formula and your inputs — handy for a quote, a permit file, or a supplier order. The estimating logic is shared across the whole site, so a slab, a column and a set of stairs all use the same vetted math.

Everything runs in your browser

There's no signup, no account, and no data capture. Your dimensions and results are computed locally and never sent to or stored by us — the calculators work the moment the page loads and keep working even on a flaky job-site connection. Open about the numbers

Concrete estimating runs on a handful of constants — bag yields, material densities, the 27 cubic feet in a yard, rebar weights, and so on — and we publish every one of them, with sources, on the methodology page. If a figure looks off or you've found a better source, we want to hear it: the constants have already been corrected this way. These are planning estimates, not engineering specifications; for structural work, always follow your local building code and, where required, a licensed engineer.

Learn the why, not just the number

Alongside the tools, the guides explain the reasoning — how much concrete you need, how thick a slab should be, why concrete cracks, how long it takes to cure — and the FAQ answers the quick questions directly. The aim is that you leave understanding your project a little better, not just holding a figure.
